The Key  Our Thoughts:
We all know it takes the correct 'key' to open our house and our cars.
Try putting the car key in the house lock and see how far it will go! Or use the car key for the house, and quickly you find it doesn't fit.
Just as with our human lives, there are 'keys' to our spiritual lives, and things going on there. There are people who have needs,
and the key has never been found to unlock that door.
Remember the guy by the pool of water, that had a disease for 38 years? The angel would come down and 'stir the waters', and whomever got in first, would receive their healing. But nobody had stopped to help this guy get into that pool of water all those years.
But, Jesus comes by, and had the key! He told him to 'Rise, take up thy bed and walk'! The guy didn't ask to be healed, yet, GOD commanded him to be!
Too often, the waters are 'stirred', but nothing happens. If we try to do things by ourselves, then nothing will ever happen; it's not by our works, by God's mercy that the 'key' works. You have to come to Jesus as yourself. Our faith isn't based on any other's faith,
or another's testimony, but placed in the promises of the Saviour - for, "by his stripes I was healed" [ I Peter 2:24 ].......2000 years ago, as He hung on the tree, suffered, bled, and died for me!
God's Thoughts:
Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help each of us to realize you hold the key - the only key we need, to life. In your word, you said that you came to give us life, and give it
more abundantly. Help us trust you completely! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
