Being Oriented
 Our Thoughts:
Many of us try to approach the throne of God only with our needs. This is being 'need oriented', we are seeking His hands, and what
He can do for us.
There is a difference in being need oriented and presence oriented. We want to be more 'presence oriented' when we begin to worship God. Most times we will reach out to God, with the
"Gimme" attitude. And, He will provide. But he wants to see his children come and 'seek his face' rather than his hands. Then, when we seek his face, he will give us more than we can ever
think to ask for. After all, He knows all our needs before we even speak them!
The manifestations are given through the working of the Holy Spirit. His power and provisions are always present when HE is present, but He is not always present when his power and
provisions are. We have to worship and praise to enter into HIS presence, forgetting about the 'gimme' attitude. He wants us to 'praise and worship' Him and enter into the holy of holies. Until then,
we are only in the outer courts. The fullness of joy is missing because we aren't getting into his presence when we pray. We seek the manifestation, not His habitation.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, teach us your ways, to seek your face, rather than the giver of the gifts. Help us to humble ourselves in your presence and worship you more, in spirit and in truth. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
