Dripping Sweat? Change Clothes!
 Our Thoughts:
With the temperatures soaring into the three digits lately, it's not hard to have clothes that
are wringing wet with sweat, your hair dripping, and your tongue hanging out! Seriously, this is the hottest, driest summer I can remember in years, for the South.
Almost makes you wished you live in a cooler climate; well, almost! They have their problems as well.
Perhaps the temperature isn't what is making you sweat. Maybe your boss is on your case, and you are sweating over the promotion you thought you were up for, but now are in doubt.
Perhaps your kids are dealing you misery because you can't give them what you promised; not enough money to go around these days. Or, perhaps you are sweating because of a spouse's actions, out of your
control completely.
Don't sweat; don't fret. 'Change your clothes' and go before the Lord. Seek His face, come into His presence, and let Him 'cool' you. He so wants to commune with you daily, and give you peace that only
he is capable of giving. Too many times we hold on to the 'sweaty' things, not realizing that God is the way to the 'no-sweat' way of life!
God's Thoughts:
Hosea 5:15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, it's hard to break old habits by ourselves. Teach us to bring the sweaty things of this life to you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
