No Sweat Clause Our Thoughts:
How closely do you read the fine print at the bottom of a contract you're signing? Do you just
take it for granted that the one drawing up the contract is honest? Therefore, you don't need to read all those little fine words, nestled near the
bottom, or get a lawyer to read over the document, to familarize you with legal terms. Too many times, we trust amiss, and get ourselves into a bind
of which we can only get out with the help of a lawyer!
Never heard of the 'no sweat' clause? How closely have you read your 'contract' (the Holy Word)?
This is our 'contract' for living the Christian life, daily - the do's and don'ts, the curses and blessings, the true ramifications of living for or against
God's will for your life. It's not a good thing to lay the 'document' on the shelf, never taking it out to familarize yourself with the 'contract terms'. Too
often, you find a person near the end of life, that has never looked the 'document' over since the day of 'signing'. Signing on the dotted line
doesn't stop our need to read. We should be familiarizing ourselves with all the promises contained in that 'contract'. There is so much
contained there, that it takes a lifetime to read and understand. Each time you read, you see something you missed the time before. New revelation of a 'term' is
brought to light. We give up some of the 'rights' in that contract, just by ignorantly ignoring the 'contract' through out the years. Oh, the contractor won't pull
the rug out from under you, but your 'rewards' might not be what they would be, if only you had 'read between the lines' (taken time to READ and MEDITATE DAILY) and
seek His face in time of prayer, rather than his hands.
Why not start fresh today, going into the presence of the Lord, with praise and thankgiving, and true worship from the heart. He wants to hear that you
love him, that you adore him, and that you are willing to let Him love you back. Life could be so much better for you, and your "NO SWEAT" Clause could be realized!
God's Thoughts:
Ezekiel 44:18 They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.
Psalms 119:15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, as humans, we often fail. Help us to stay in the Word, and learn all your precepts, to worship you in spirit and in truth. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
