Hello from Barbara's Entourage
Everywhere you look or even when you listen today, you see or hear something about the campaigns for President. The election is coming up November and this will probably be the most important election in our lifetime. Why? Simply because we Americans are losing more of our freedoms now that we have enjoyed all our lives.
Remember the story back in I Samuel 8, where Samuel told God that the people wanted a King over them. God told him to give them a King; they hadn't rejected Samuel but they had rejected God. He told him what the King would do to the people: take their sons and daughters and make them work for him, take a tenth of everything you own and give it all to his servants. In other words, they will realize that the King is not what they expected and Samuel told them that, in that day, they will cry out but God would not hear them.
Today, we have such a 'king' that resides over our land. But the people of this great nation set him there, not God. We are having to endure all the things that have been thrust upon us. Our economy has hit rock bottom, jobs have been lost, homes are being foreclosed, companies are going overseas to escape, and the CHANGE which he has proposed is definitely a change, but not what those who voted for him expected. The change has all but ruined our great nation. And, if we have four more years of the same, we can say goodbye to the 'good times' as we have known it for years, although there has been less and less of the 'good times' these past 3 1/2 years.
1 Samuel 8:18-20, "And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles."
Is America going to be like the people back in Samuel's time? Are we going to chose our own 'king', or are we going to ask God to show us who we need to preside over this great nation and then go out and vote him in? Do we like dictatorship, which is almost what we have today, or do we want someone who is 'by the people, for the people', who will listen to the needs of the people and not destroy this great nation? We don't want to be like all the nations who have leaders who do nothing for the people except to take from them, make them poor while the leader lives the life of luxury. Right now, this is what we have - a President and his wife who preach to the people to watch what they spend and what they buy, yet does not exemplify this in their own lives. They live the lives of luxury, going on extravagant vacations on the taxpayers dollar, while we Americans, for the most part, sit at home because we have to watch our money! Life styles are going down for us while they reach the plateau of luxury!
America wake up before it's too late!! Rise to the occasion; take America back. But the only way we can do it is to put America in the hands of God. Follow His and only His direction! Yes, God can direct you on how to vote. He may not give you a name, but He can show you through the Word for whom to vote. Let's rally together this year and show God we really want to be HIS nation, not a nation of dictators, a nation of CZARS who rule over us with power that should only be in the hands of God!
