Hello from Barbara's Entourage

Every day we live is a blessing from God. Each breath we breathe could be our last. And, we need to live life as though it certainly could be. Tomorrow may never come, yesterday is gone, so today may be the last day we have to make it all right with God.

As I sit here and look out the window at the birds feeding, I think of what a wonderful God He is. He gave us such beautiful creatures to gaze upon, the beautiful colors that fill the earth through the grasses, trees, and flowers, and yet, we seldom say, "Thank you, God, for all you've done for us".

Let's pause each day to say, "God, without you, I'm nothing. I can't make it on my own. I need you in my life constantly to get me through the struggles of life. I just want to thank you for always being there when I call."

Heavenly Father, you are a gracious God. Although we don't always stop and thank you for the goodness you've brought here to this earth, we know that life on earth would not be the same without your presence in our lives. For this, we give you thanks! In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

You are valuable just because you exist. Not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are. Just think about the way Jesus honors you....and smile.

Christian friends sharing their faith on the Net!

"A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband:"
"Who can find a virtuous woman?
" For her price is far above rubies."
Proverbs 12:4, Proverbs 31:10

A Woman of Value is an EZine that will be sent to all members via email twice monthly by the List Owner/Moderator. We will be sharing the biblical role of the Christian Woman as a Helpmeet, Keeper at Home, Titus Woman, and a Proverbs 31 Woman that is "far above rubies" in her value to her husband, children, and the Body of Messiah. This is a Christian Digest, however, we welcome any woman who desires to receive biblical teachings on being a Woman of Value.

A Liar's Revival

"I do not expect the tide of evil and immorality in America to ebb. We are cycling, as cultures and civilizations have always cycled, and are now on the down side of glory. Our once great and godly nation, having crested the hill of God's grace, has begun a slow descent into the abyss of self destruction."

The late Jamie Buckingham, award winning columnist, January, 1990

Joy, Humor, and Faith on the net!

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble, and woe
It's then I have to remember
That it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.

My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow!

A word or two from ......

Charisma News Service

Christians who say they want to dedicate the rest of their lives to serving God should start by giving Him just 30 minutes, suggests one of America's most respected church pastors.

A Recipe For Never Annoying Our Friends

This was made by one who had suffered much for many years from numberless little worries, occasioned by a relative, whose affection no doubt was sincere and devoted, but also too ardent, and want6ing in discretion.

There must be moderation in all things, even in the love we manifest, the care we take to shield them from trouble.

This recipe consists of but four simple rules, very clear, very precise.
Behold them: ------
2. Be useful to my friend as far as he permits, and no farther.

An over anxious affection becomes tiresome, and a multiplicity of beautiful sentiments makes them almost insupportable.

Devotion to a friend does not consist in doing everything for Him, but simply that which is agreeable and of service to him, and let it only be revealed to him by accident.

We all love freedom, and cling tenaciously to our little fancies; we do not like others to arrange what we have purposely left in disorder; we even resent their over-anxiety and care for us.

That's a Roundup from Barbara's Entourage for this week.
"Head knowledge makes you smart; heart knowledge makes you HIS!"

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
