Another beautiful day to start the weekend off beautifully! God has given us sunshine to warm us after the cool mornings. We have so many things for which to be thankful!
On the home front, we go about our daily lives, but, in far away Afghanistan, we have our military following orders to defend our country from terrorists. They need our prayers. The days may not be so pleasant for them, and the sun might not shine so bright. But, God is there with them, just as He is with us here in America. Prayer knows no boundaries, so let's band together to keep our troops in prayer, praying a hedge of protection around them.
Also, Monday is Veteran's Day. Let's remember all the veterans in prayer.

PRAYER
God, so condescending to the soul, raises it with Him to the regions of light and love, and then, the prayer finished, the soul returns to its daily duties with a more enlightened mind, a more earnest will. It is filled with radiance divine, and sheds of its abundance upon all who approach.
If you would succeed in your study, with the success that sanctifies, pray before commencing.
If you would succeed in your intercourse with others, pray before becoming intimate.
Nothing so smooths and sweetens a life as Prayer.
