Hello from Barbara's Entourage
Life holds it's tragedies. Today, there was a terrible accident on the interstate in Birmingham, involving a vehicle and a transport truck. At least one death has resulted. Traffic will be in a mess, until the bridges are built back that supported some of the traffic through what has been commonly called 'mal-function junction'.
Life holds it joys. We woke up to a new day. Hopefully, we started out by thanking God that we awakened in a state where we could worship Him one more time. The weather may be bleak on the outside, but on the inside of your heart, you should be rejoicing!

Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Abraham believed God, and said to sight, "Stand back!" and to the laws of nature, "Hold your peace!" and to a misgiving heart, "Silence, thou lying tempter!" He believed God.

THE WHOLE WORLD STINKS
One Sunday afternoon, a cranky
grandfather was visiting his family.
As he lay down to take a nap, his
grandson decided to have a little
fun by putting Limburger cheese
on Grandfather's mustache. Soon,
Grandpa awoke with a snort and
charged out of the bedroom saying,
"This room stinks." Through the
house he went, finding every room
smelling the same. Desperately he
made his way outside only to find
that "the whole world stinks!"

A young child asked a woman how old she was.
She answered, "39 and holding."
The child thought for a moment, then said,
"And how old would you be if you let go?"
>Some people spend too much time hanging on to vain ways of feeling
significant. Let go of the past and let God bless you in the present just
as He has made you.

SNIPPET FROM THE MANTLE
A word or two from ......

Wisdom in Time of War
By J.I. Parker
So we are at war. The United States leads a loose international coalition pledged to destroy the worldwide terrorist networks, which produced the 19 young men who on September 11 randomly killed thousands of civilians and destroyed billions of dollars worth of flagship property.

"GOLD DUST" ON THE MANTLE
|
The saints were never exacting. Contented with their lot, they never desired anything that was withheld from them.
"I have asked," said a holy soul, "for something I thought needful; they have forgotten to answer me, or perhaps would not bestow it. Why need I be disquieted If it were really necessary, God would quickly provide means to obtain it." How few could enter into this feeling; and yet it is but the echo of Christ's own words, "Your Father in Heaven knoweth that ye have need of all these things."
