Have you ever gotten up so blue and out of sorts, like the world is against you, your
life isn't going the way you want it? In other words, you feel a failure and you can't do one thing about it!
We all have probably been there at one time of another in our walk with the Lord.
Daily life is sometimes a struggle when we are faced with things satan seems to find a way to slide into
our families' lives. BUT he knows just how to come against you to take the JOY away, but there is ONE who can
give you back that JOY.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
We sometimes forget GOD in the midst of our troubles, our frustrations, and just think "I am not
that "super saint" everyone seems to think I am". Why pretend? God loves us for WHO we are, not WHAT we
are. He made us in HIS image, in HIS likeness and he doesn't make garbage. He never expects us to be like the
image Santa presents - jolly all the time without a care in this life, or like a bowl of jello, bouncey all the time.
We are humans! AND we are going to act like it and we are going to feel like it, whether it's our will to appear
that way or not. But look up! There is help for all these feelings!
Phillipians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
We feel like failures as parents, spouses, friends and satan loves us being down and out! But there is a way out. Don't let him steal your
joy and peace of mind!
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden , and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit , saith the LORD of hosts.
He is like no other friend you will ever know. He gave his life for you, bore all your sins on the cross, and he is now that ONE which you can lean on with confidence. HE will never leave you!
Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the
snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; 6 [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge
over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon
shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Such a beautiful message in Psalm 91! So, let's let GOD guide, lead and direct our lives, especially when we feel so 'down and out', not the 'super saint' , and he will surely
give you the love and compassion you so desire in times like these!
