Such Love! Such wonderful Love is this!
Such peace! Such infinite peace is this!
Such joy! Abiding and deep is this!
The love of my Lord for me.
Such grace! Such marvelous grace is this!
Such Life!! Abundant and free is this!
Such hope! Such glorious hope is this-
That His face I'll see.
There are no words that fully can express
The matchless glory of His perfect
righteousness.
I stand amazed and still; my soul with
rapture thrills.
I long to do the will
Of Him Who loves me.
I'll follow Him, though I can ne'er repay
The price He paid to take my sin away.
His praise I'll sing each step of each
joyous day!
Such Love!
Such marvelous, fathomless, deep
and unsearchable love is this!
Such love-
Such love-
Such love is this!

Here is where mere words fail utterly and completely. The most
eloquent orator, the most
expansive vocabulary are as a babe's beginning speech . We stand
speechless as we search for the right words. Beautiful enough,
expressive enough, exalting enough, worthy enough. How can we--certainly
how can I with my limited ability, ever begin to describe the Love of
God?
I clearly remember when I wrote this poem,
when I was caught in the overwhelming tide of
His mighty, unspeakable Love. i tried to set some words to rhyme and
rhythm but could only begin to stammer and stutter as I realized what an
impossible task it was.
He has given us His Word, His love letter to us , telling us
over and over and over in unfathomable measure of His Love. FInally,
He proved it as He hung on a rough cross on Golgotha's brow and poured
out His blood in Love-drops for our sin.
Finally, defeated, I cease trying to find the words. I choose
two familiar verses to serve as bookends for the volumes of His love.
One bookend is : "For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life. John 3:16"
The other bookend is: "Behold what manner of love the Father
hath bestowed upon
us that we should be called the children of God.. 1John 3:1"
